Joseph E. King "Joe", manager funeral director and embalmer,
moved to Oak Ridge and was employed with Martin Oak Ridge Funeral
Home in August of 1986. Joe received his funeral director and
embalmer licensees in 1987. Joe was married to his wife Barbara in
1991 and they have four children Aubrey, Domenic, Maggie, and
Cassie. |

Shirley Freels King, funeral director, moved to Anderson County
along with her now deceased husband Rev. Robert D. King, Sr. after
his retirement from the ministry. Shirley served her apprenticeship
under her son Joe and was licensees as a funeral director in
Tennessee in 1991 and in Kentucky in 1995. Shirley has three sons
Robert, Joseph, and Glen, Sr. |

Dale Bandy, employed part-time since 2003, is an attendant.
Dale and his wife Tracy have one daughter, Erika, and attend Park
West Church of God. Dale is a member of the Moose Lodge #1316 here
in Oak Ridge |

Ellis C. Galyon, licensed funeral director and embalmer, a
graduate of Gupton Mortuary College with 50 years of funeral
service experience. |

Kent Bailey, family service coordinator and apprentice funeral
director, retired United Methodist pastor after 27 years and a
graduate of Gupton Mortuary College. |

C.E. Houston "Sam" went home to be with the Lord in 2008. Sam
worked as an attendant from 1988 until his death. Sam will always
be a part of the Martin Oak Ridge Family and is remembered for his
dedication to God and his work ethic. He was an inspiration to all
who knew and loved him. We along with his wife Ailene and the rest
of his family and friends will miss Sam until we meet again. |
